| Gary Wendt, the former
Chairman and CEO of General Electric Capital
Corporation, is a long-standing supporter of
the Indian talent pool. In 1999, with the technology
boom well under way, he was convinced that India's
human capital is an excellent base for feeding
its growing requirements as well as providing
services and products to the rest of the world,
profitably. He wished to tap this reservoir. |
|
One of the better
ways to do this he thought was through a private
equity fund. In 2000, Gary Wendt and his Indian
partners, Housing Development Finance Corporation,
and Ambit Corporate Finance Private Limited,
established an asset management company named
GW Capital to build on this opportunity.
GW Capital launched IVF to invest in unique
business models led by Indian |

entrepreneurs or
management team of uncompromising integrity,
unparalleled intellect, and tremendous drive
– visionaries of today and leaders of tomorrow.
GW Capital Pvt Ltd has now been re - named India
Value Fund Advisors Private Limited. |
