Peter Keenoy co-manages Impala Partners, a nationally recognized turnaround, restructuring and financial advisory firm. Prior to joining Impala Partners in 1999, he was a Vice President of GE Capital and Chief Credit Officer of its corporate lending business.
His position at GE Capital held Peter responsible for a portfolio of over US$ 11 Billion and gave him the chance to supervise the underwriting/diligence efforts of over US$ 20 Billion of investments. Peter also led GE Capital’s diligence efforts when it acquired financial institutions in Hungary, Poland, Italy, the Czech Republic and a failed opportunity in Chile.
Peter directly succeeded Paul Street as head of the LBO Workout Group at GE Capital, which was responsible for restructuring over 35 companies. The Group saw liquidation of Kidder, Peabody’s US$ 750 Million high-yield portfolio that was transferred to GE Capital in 1990. He oversaw over 15 bankruptcies, numerous restructurings and served on the Boards of Directors of five companies.
Peter’s 14 years at GE Capital were preceded by four years at Andersen in its audit division.
Peter is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago.
